Our PTO ROCKS!!

We accomplished so much and made a huge impact at Imagine this year.   Our school is a better place for our students due to all the long hours and hard work of the PTO.

The PTO was able to raise $10,000 last year that will be used to enhance our school in the following ways:

$5,000 used to purchase license for Study Island for K-8th grade, reading and math for 3 years.  Study Island is an on-line resource for students, teachers and families

$3,000 used to create our first COMPUTER LAB!!

$1,000 used to purchase Words Their Way, which is a writing curriculum

$1,000 used to purchase storage cabinets for the multi-purpose room

The Grant Committee was awarded $9,200 in grant money to support the school!

$4,400 Water Education Grant through Southwest Florida Water Management District

$3,000 Early Childhood Reading Grant through Target

$1,000 Science Grant through Science House

$800 Field Trip Grant through Target

The Grant Committee worked with Ms. Beauregard and the science teachers to use our grant money to set up our first ever SCIENCE LAB!!

We earned $2,400 in book credit by hosting a Scholastic Book Fair.  This credit was used to purchase new titles for the school library.

$2,100 was put directly into the classrooms and the Friday Clubs this year!

The PTO worked with the Federal Government and their Computers for Learning Program for a donation of 28 excess government computers.  These computers were used to start Imagine's first computer lab!!

Thank you all so very much!

UNITY
"I dreamed I stood in a studio and watched two sculptors there.  The clay they used was a young child’s mind and they fashioned it with care.  One was a teacher… the tools he used were books, music, and art.  The other, a parent, worked with a guiding hand and a gentle, loving heart.  Day after day, the teacher toiled with touch that was careful, deft and sure.  While the parent labored by his side and polished and smooth it over.  And when at last, their task was done, they were proud of what they had wrought.   For the things they had molded into the child could neither be sold nor bought.   And each agreed they would have failed if they had worked alone.  For behind the parent stood the school and behind the teacher, the home."   - author unknown
